The Sampson is a Heavy Lift Construction vessel equipped with an 1800T crane.  She is currently undergoing refit into an S-Lay pipe carrier.

As Chief Officer onboard my responsibilities include performing stability calculations for heavy lift operations & ensuring that Preventative Maintenance on deck is carried out satisfactorily.  My primary concerns during the refit is ensuring safe working practices by all onboard, as controlled through the PTW system & liaising with sore side contractors
