The C-Master is a dynamic positioning class 3 pipelay barge owned by Kito Marine, out of Dubai UAE.

You may also know her as the Jascon 5.  She is equipped with 8 azimuth thrusters & an 800T capacity Huisman crane.

The C-Master is specifically designed to lay pipe (4-48in diameter) in S-lay configuration in very shallow water using its 8- point mooring system, and in very deep water using its DP3 system.

Stationed in the Persian Gulf I worked with the rest of the crew to lay a 32″ concrete encased pipe line, with 4″ piggy back line.  This included a number of beach pulls.

The work completed onboard the C-Master were my first pipe lay projects as Senior DP Operator & is where I learned the techniques & procedures for laying rigid pipe, as well as gained an appreciation for the overall running of such a large project with 250+ crew members.
